After monitoring the IIS voice Download Frequency last night I finally managed to hear astronauts on the ISS talking to the ground (NASA) on my little scanner setup (Icom IC-R15).

The contact only lasted a few seconds but it was real and it was a tick on the “lifetime list of radio things to do” list!

Now I just need to make a proper 2 way QSL with them but I suspect the chances of that ware virtually nil!
