I picked up this new Gscan II antenna yesterday. The intension it to pop it in the car and stick it on the roof when I go out and about to see what I can pick up. I’m as big believer in getting an antenna outside of the car rather than using one screwed to the receiver.

I changed the coax for some shorter high quality RG-58 military spec coax (they always come with rubbish cheap coax) and fitted a new fancy BNC connector. I’ve not tried it out and about yet but I have tried it sat in my flat and I have to say that it’s giving extremely good first impressions.
